Two more products are now set to make mid-2026 debuts: the vivo X Fold 6 and whatever Xiaomi will call its upcoming vertical portable telephone, with Honor’s Magic V6 and Oppo’s Get N6 currently available. Xiaomi’s position iȿ morȩ confusing, but it has some mateɾial. Xiaomi’s future book-style folding is expected to launch in Q3 2026, according to Tipster Bald Panda, who confirmed on Weibo that the release date is likely to be in July, with the Xiaomi 18 set set to debut in September. The system is domestically designated Q18 with design number 2608BPX34C, and Mi Code links place it next to Xiaomi’s Xring O3 chipset, which replaces the Xring O1 that was introduced in the Xiaomi 15S Pro.

People trying to monitor this system will probably find the name odd. No formal brand has been confirmed, but the titles Xiaomi 17 Fold and MIX Fold 5 are both in circulation as prospect names. It is obvious that this is Xiaomi’s first attempt at folding in the book style since the MIX Fold 4 in 2024, and that this is not a redo of the canceled heaven design. It’s still up for debate whether the Xring O3 will remain China-only like the O1.
