After working for 31 weeks with the Building Safety Regulator ( BSR ), an application for fire-safety remediation at an east London high-rise was approved one day before a fatal fire last weekend.

The BSR approved the application for Neutron Tower previous Friday, well past the eight-week deadline for choosing restoration proposals, unless an expansion is agreed upon.
The tower control software for restoration job was submitted to Construction News in February 2026, but it was only approved on September 11th, 2026.
