Game designer Barnyard Games and amusement business Superplastic announced now they’re collaborating on a new project: Bringing Superplastic’s animated characters to a video game, particularly Fortnite. The two are launching their own title, Fortnite’s Most Wanted, a combat map built with Unreal Engine for Fortnite ( UEFN). The game is currently playable, and it features Janky and Guggimon, two characters who are already well-known to Fortnite people.
In Fortnite’s Most Wanted, 12 gamers fight it out in a ranking to deface a Superplastic-inspired town. Gamers collect paint cans, graffiti different surfaces, remove their rivals and prevent being eliminated themselves. The image features Superplastic personalities like Janky, Guggimon, Dayzee and the Lil ‘ Helpers. Jennifer van Dijk, Superplastic CEO, said in a speech,” This association blends Superplastic’s unique design and artistic vision with Barnyard Games ‘ cutting-edge game growth – the perfect combination to give an encounter packed with unparalleled imagination, immersive gameplay, and compelling narrative. This collaboration is a significant step in the direction of our goal of getting fans to use our Superplastic IP in well-known environments.
In an interview with GamesBeat, Barnyard Games CEO John Blakeley discussed the ways that influencers and game designers can collaborate:” We are witnessing significant success as influencers expand their engagement beyond their initial platforms. Influencers, who own their audiences, are changing from content creators to creative executives who work with developers to create unique experiences that revolve around their brands. Many are now creating physical and digital goods and developing various experiences around their brands. This is what you’re seeing with the partnership between Barnyard Games and Superplastic”.
