The Sprayhawk autonomous helicopter’s company, Rotor Technologies, Inc., is partnering with AG-NAV Inc., a chief in detail navigation and circulation control technology, to provide automated flying applications.
The two businesses have demonstrated an integrated automatic flying software system that enables users to sail Rotor’s Sprayhawk agrarian UAV, an autonomous Robinson aircraft with a 110-gallon ability, using AG-NAV’s Guia Platinum navigation system.
AG-NAV will be the distinctive operator of agricultural navigation options on Rotor’s 2025 Model Year Sprayhawk. Standard equipment for sprayhawks may be AG-NAV’s sophisticated navigation and flow control systems, including a Guia Silver tracking switch on board and adjustable rate spray control equipment for the ground control station.
” Our customers with our flying software customers benefit from precision agriculture thanks to the inclusion of AG-NAV systems,” said Rotor Product Manager Charlotte Keys. ” With exposure to AG-NAV’s industry-leading navigation and mission management systems, Sprayhawk operators will be able to easily manage their jobs and workflows, do in-flight spray controls just like in their guarded aircraft, and improve efficiency with precision flow control”.
The partnership may provide Sprayhawk operators entry to AG-NAV’s developed mission planning software, AgMission. Sprayers can utilize advanced data research to compare previous jobs and apply routes, input custom settings to create operations, and create safe and effective spray patterns for any type of field using the guidance from ArgMission. This partnership makes a significant improvement in the support of precision agriculture needs of flying applicators.
” At AG-NAV our goal is to always develop as well as concentrate on aircraft safety”, said AG-NAV’s Landon Ramirez. We were very excited to work with Rotor to further improve captain safety and improve the flying application industry when we learned what they were doing.
Customers in the United States and Brazil can pre-order the 2025 Model Year Sprayhawk right away for distribution in the second half of the time, with introductory pricing accessible until December 15, 2024.
On November 18 through November 21, Rotor and AG-NAV will be exhibiting at the NAAA agreement in Fort Worth. The companies invite aerial applicators and agricultural partners to visit booths 1523 ( Rotor ) and 1600 ( AG-NAV ).
