About Lincam
A novel funding model, the Lincam Ceres-Agri-Tech PBIAA, is being developed to translate and market UK Agri-Tech research that will impact the Greater Lincolnshire and North Cambridgeshire ( Lincam ) region.
Our Lincam initiative, which is heavily focused on research language, aims to support school and RTO teams in moving their agri-tech innovations from test to industry by developing their technologies and commercializing them using the reputable Ceres Agri-Tech design.
In terms of concomitant financial, environmental, and/or social benefits, we may help influence supply for science that supports the region’s crop-based production field and its supply chains. Projects must be funded in accordance with IAA regulations ( no FEC ) and have more than 50 % of the EPSRC scope ( for example, AI, robotics companies, digital plant breeding, net zero engineering, etc. ).
For UK universities and Research Translation Organizations (RTOs ) that have received EPSRC approval, Lincam Ceres Agri-Tech offers both Project Awards and Proof of Concept Honors.
Small overview of the scope:
• Novel systems must be used
• Research just at UK universities or RTOs
• Crop-based tech
• Experts DO NOT NEED to be based in the Lincam area to be funded; they MUST have importance to the Lincam place.
• Projects may have a minimum 50 % of the EPSRC reach, such as those in AI, science, robotics, material technology, engineering, computer science, science, etc.
The next problems are the focus of this call:
- Artificial solutions to agriculture’s transformation, such as crop forecasting, pest control, scouting, land planning, and water control
- Efficient use of resources, round business, utilizing waste streams, precision farming, new inputs, and fertilizer decrease
- Crop store and logistics, such as early detection of warm, condition, and energy use optimization.
- Grower information management, decision support, device technologies, surveillance, and phenotyping are examples of data-driven farming.
- Ƒuture crops include gȩnetics, mechanical planting, produce scouting, specialty crops, and phenotypįng.
- Water use efficiency, wildlife tracking, breeding techniques, a controlled environment, and greenhouse gas reduction are examples of climate endurance.
Although there are book, ground-breaking technologies, implementation of off-the-shelf or best practice approaches to using already-existing technology is not permitted.
Technologies from other subjects that could be adapted and used in agriculture are of special interest. Please take note that the examples provided above serve only as examples and do not limit the scope of the instances.
Software addressing issues in crops that are not listed above will also be taken into account.
