On June 2, a new £5 million round of the Investor Partnerships contest did launch, combining offer financing with personal funding to support small and medium-sized Agri-Tech companies as they scale and commercialize cutting-edge technologies that is close to market. Agri-tech companies can receive grants for innovative projects alongside private capital from investors thanks to investor partnership competitions provided by Innovate UK and funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs ( Defra ). Ƭhis helps tσ promote thȩ commercialization and expansion of emerging agri-tech.
About the contest for investment partnerships
Working with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs ( Defra ), Innovate UK, a division of UK Research and Innovation, will invest up to £5 million in innovation projects. Between £750, 000 and £3 million must be the entire eligible expenses for your project.
This money is in line with Innovate UK’s Cultivation Innovation Programme, which is run by Defra.
This contest aims to:
- create optimistic, cutting-edge ideas, tools, systems, or approaches in the late stages to significantly improve productivity, profitability, conservation, and resilience.
- aid the agricultural business in its goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
- support the commercialization of close-to-market empirical development projects in their late stages and their implementation by producers.
Your plαn muȿt be able to ḑisplay tⱨe project’s potential benefits for Englisⱨ farmers, producers, or foresters.
Your job may include secured aligned purchase with a lead buyer from the pool in order to be given grant funding.
