If you’re an asphalt pavement expert and you’ve ever wondered what it’s like on the “other side” of the pavement-coin, next know no more! The director for Asphalt Contractor newspaper, Brandon Noel, decided it was time to go see for himself. The bad news, of course, was that family character had other ideas. Just about everything goes bad when a big rain wind blew in the day we arrived to spend time with practical contracting company Win Avant in Archdale, North Carolina.
Not to worry, yet, because we still were ready to get out on the jobsite and get some first-hand knowledge with what it’s like to become a rookie employee working in cement. On top of that, the staff took time to give present Brandon the fundamentals of working a 3D light screed, as well as a ride-on bitumen scorer.
