After the Building Safety Regulator ( BSR ) started using its outsourced “batching” model to process applications, the rate of gateway two approvals increased to 67 %.
In its most recent gateway two update, the BSR stated that initial data from a pilot shows that processing times under the “batching model” are” significantly quicker” than those under the previous multidisciplinary team ( MDT ) model.

According to this concept, the BSR reported that the average time between a vendor receiving a case and returning a full evaluation was four days across the new-build, restoration, and redevelopment categories.
After the initial MDT type was unable to handle the volume of scenarios across all implementation groups, the captain batching method was introduced in September.
