With the release of a second model, the 146 net horsepower ( 107 kW ) Hyundai HD130, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America today announced the expansion of its crawler dozer product line.

The HD line, introduced earlier this year with the release of the HD100, broadens the Hyundai line of earthmoving products, which already includes vehicle loaders, crawl excavators, wheeled excavators, articulated dump trucks, skid steers and small monitor loaders, as well as equipment designed for material handling in particular applications.

” The fresh Hyundai HD130 tractor gives our clients the choice of a heavier-duty type that delivers higher performance for larger jobs”, said Dale McLemore, director of sales, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America. ” Hyundai‘s commitment to providing the right option for a wide range of earthmoving and material-handling software is demonstrated by the expanded tractor product collection.”

The Hyundai HD130 tractor is a 15-ton-class device equipped with a fuel-efficient 4-cylinder Perkins 1204J website that meets Tier 4 Final pollution standards. Available in two configurations, the HD130 can be ordered as either an LGP ( low ground pressure ) model or in an XL configuration. The LGP unit has an operating mass of 33, 730 lb. ( 15, 300 kg ) and ground pressure of 4.98 psi ( 34.3 kPa ), while the XL configuration weighs 31, 907 lb. ( 14, 500 kg ) with a ground pressure of 6.16 psi ( 42.2 kPa ). Both configurations feature a track length of 8′ 11″ (2, 720 mm ). The hydrostatic transfer improves operation by facilitating easy speed and torque control.

The HD130 provides accessibility for improved operator trust and performance. The in-line pre-cleaner is under the helmet for an unobstructed view of the knife, and the machine’s cooling system is located at the back. Side awareness is enhanced by full-length doors. Additionally, four high-illumination LED lights are included in the normal to increase visibility while working in low light.

Control and Accuracy

A 2D scoring system, which is common on the Hyundai HD130 dozer, makes it easier for beginner operators to perform precise grading. Without the need for GPS or beams, the method controls the blade’s operations, resulting in quicker and more accurate scoring.

The ergonomically designed controller helps to lessen operator fatigue, and regular electrohydraulic controls increase operator comfort and precision. The screen has three distinct manage levels, including tilt, slope, and gate movement.

Standard and Optional Functions

Common features include a ROPS/FOPS house, 6-way tractor knife, back cameras, 8-inch show, high-illumination LED lights, rotating beacon and track guard, seat belt warning, and piping for a ripper. An oscillating track system, which provides increased operator comfort and stable ground contact, is standard.

Available options include full track guarding, forestry cabin guard ( top and front ) additional work lamps, parallel ripper and a towing draw bar.

Other key specifications include maximum travel speed of 5.6 mph ( 9.0 km/hr ), eight lower track rollers, and shoe width of 30 in ( 760 mm ) with LGP blade.

Grading Precision

The common 6-way, variable-angle-pitch tractor edge – with a maximum angle of 25 degrees – delivers more efficiency when grading or moving soil, clay and other materials. For precise complete or easy back-grading, the industry standard knife float function is intended. The HD130 is compatible with scoring systems that help even beginners operators work faster and more specifically, save time and fuel, and improve performance.

The HD130 dozer comes Trimble-ready from the factory, so Trimble Machine Control can easily be installed, offering enhanced precision and guidance for complex designs and construction projects. In challenging work environments, this feature makes for more accurate and effective operation.
