As part of its new generation revamp, Volvo Construction Equipment ( Volvo CE ) is updating its straight boom excavators with an updated EC300 and new EC400.

The 30-ton EC300 Straight Boom, which is the upgraded design following the previous century EC300E Straight Boom, will be replaced by the 40-ton EC400 Straight Boom crawl digger.

Both of them have been created to provide the highest levels of performance in dismantling applications while maintaining the same level of comfort and quality as their standard counterparts. This combo are designed for outstanding approach and stability on destruction jobs, and this is now possible thanks to an updated style that introduces the consumer into the future as well as a number of additional safety and performance improvements.

The updated devices offer a top benefit of about 30 % with an improvement in the reach of common digging-based models. They also offer excellent stability during large tasks because they have a heavier counterweight that can be easily removed when moving from site to site using a mechanical removal feature.

They also benefit from a 14 % improvement in fuel efficiency and a 10 % increase in engine power for the EC400 Straight Boom over the machine it replaces, thanks to the new generation machine base. The new limo culture is more spacious and packed with new features, ensuring convenience and accessibility. Additionally, improved controls, such as an energy joystick and journey pedal, provide specific control for the operator.

The updated taxicab is not just a pleasant and successful position, but it’s also a secure one. With its strong roll over security program and frame-mounted Falling Object Guards, which can also be swung out to help clean the back window, it offers the best protection against falling debris. And with 12 mm thick single-piece high-impact proof glass, the panels not only provide a clear view but the best possible protection.

They can also be used for a variety of other tasks, including vehicle loading, site tidying up, and digging. They also have the ability to load high-sided trucks thanks to the longer booms ‘ prolonged reach.

However, maintenance is made simple with hydraulic fuel and gain filter changes extended to over 1, 000 hours.
